HaGesher works exclusively with Bar David Tourism in Israel to develop unique and in-depth study tours. While we visit the traditional sites, our emphasis on scripture study sets us apart. For example, imagine looking down into the Elah Valley, the scene of David & Goliath's epic face-off, and having the scene played out before you: where were the Philistines camped out? What was the significance of Goliath’s position? How did David approach? And how did he so expertly wield his sling shot?

Or sitting on the shores of the Galilee, reading John 21 in a small group setting, studying Jesus’ final in-person lesson to Peter. This is the HaGesher difference. Our guides are not only some of Israel's top-rated guides, they are also all Israeli Jewish believers with extensive experience teaching the Bible. All excellent teachers, they bring powerful insight into the Word of God based on the land, history, and culture.

Tours are typically ten (10) days, beginning on Monday and ending the following Wednesday. Pricing is determined by group size.

Tour options include: Exploring Israel, In the Footsteps of David, Spiritual Warfare, Women of the Bible, The Gospel of John, and The Parables of Jesus. Other topics may be requested and all tours are customized to best facilitate each group.

Whether you’re a group leader looking to book a tour or an individual wanting to join a group, we look forward to working with you!

Arie Bar David
Tour Guide

Arie Bar David is the most sought after Bible scholar and tour guide in Israel. Born in Israel to Jewish believers, his father is known as a pioneer of the Messianic community in the land before it became a nation in 1948.

In his youth, he studied music and went on to play double bass for the Jerusalem symphony, a role that offered him the opportunity to travel the world for music. During the Six Day and Yom Kippur wars, Arie served as a paratrooper commander for the IDF. In the mid 1970’s, he left his musical career and moved, along with his family, to moshav Yad Hashmona, a small kibbutz in the Judean Hills. For over 20 years, he served as the moshav’s head carpenter. During this time, he facilitated numerous youth camps, with an emphasis on Bible teaching. Eventually, he began guiding full time for groups from all around the world.  Today, he operates his own tour agency, Bar David Tourism, which specializes in study tours, seminars, and other in-depth Biblical teaching. He is a gifted Bible teacher and dedicates his time to his guides, congregation, and other pastors and leaders in Israel and abroad.

He and his wife, Esther, live at Yad Hashmona. They have four children and twelve grandchildren.
